I just finished this book yesterday and I can't recommend it enough.

Without giving too much away, the book deals with parallel stories, bouncing between Italy 50 years ago and Hollywood today.

The story is intriguing and I found myself tearing through each chapter because I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen in the next.

While the plot is engaging, the writing itself is also really, really good. Walter's prose is downright poetic in places and, despite my urge to read quickly, I found myself rereading sentences just to enjoy the language a bit longer. The book manages to be plot-driven, character-driven, and literary all at once.
